Plastic Bag and Sack; a Type of Flexible Packaging Made Up From Thin Plastic Film

Plastic bag and sack is widely used in the packaging industry for the packaging of packed food products, fresh produce, apparel, stationery, and many other products. These type of bags are highly transparent, offer tear-resistance and flexibility, and provide superior moisture barrier properties. More than ever before, companies are using the plastic packaging supplies for their various needs. The high quality polypropylene material that is used in making these bags makes these convenient to use, lightweight, and cost-effective as well.

The usage of plastic bag and sack not only reduces the total amount of waste but also helps to save natural resources for the future generation. These reusable bags and sacks are available in different shapes and sizes for the convenience of buyers. It is a type of flexible packaging made up from thin plastic film. Moreover, plastic bag and sack uses less material compared to boxes, jars, and cartons, and thus, they are considered as minimized packaging. These bags or sacks are used to transport chemical, food, wastes, and others.

Furthermore, the plastic bag and sack are widely used across various end-use industries, such as medical, clothing and apparel, grocery, food and beverage, retail and consumer, and other industrial applications. However, various governments are increasing the taxation in order to reduce the use of single-use plastic bags and also imposing additional duty on the use of plastic bags. In the United States, around eight states, such as Vermont, Oregon, New York, Maine, Hawaii, Delaware, Connecticut, and California, have banned single-use plastic bags.

This in turn is expected to reduce the consumption of thin single-use High-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic bags. Thus, market players are focused on developing biodegradable plastic bag and sack to create a new low-density polyethylene and bio-based polypropylene products, two of the most common types of plastics. The plastic bag and sack can be made up from both biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials.
