India Gin Industry makes various types of flavors from the locally-grown ingredients such as coriander, tulsi, grapes and others

The famous gin and tonic has its roots in India, where the passion for eating and drinking has been going on for several hundreds of years. This flavorful liquor was created during the Mughal Period in India, and it was known as India gin. The basic recipe of India gin was a combination of various fruits including pears, dates, nuts, molasses, cinnamon and cloves. There have been several versions of India Gin throughout the ages, and depending on the availability of ingredients, new variations can be introduced to customers.

India Gin is known for its freshness and floral flavor, which is why it is so commonly consumed after meals. The alcohol content in this alcoholic drink is close to one hundred and ten proofs, making it very smooth. Owing to its floral flavor, India Gin is also often mixed with rosewater or other fruits to make it more luscious. In fact, some people prefer this beverage over fruit juices since it is slightly easier to control the alcohol content than is the case with juices. For instance, in August 2021, the alcoholic beverage making firm in the U.S., Beam Suntory, launched five new premium spirits (Roku Japanese Craft Gin, Suntory Whisky Toki, Oaksmith, Hibiki Japanese Harmony, and Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve) in North India.

Beef or pork can also be added to the mix to create a more robust version. While India Gin is not a very common ingredient in the U.K., one will see different versions of beefeater in places like South Africa or Hong Kong. A typical gin drink in places like Mumbai is created using dried plums, dates, spices, sugar, cardamom, coriander, cumin, ginger, bay leaf, cloves, and nutmeg.

One other variation of this popular spirit is created from using the spirit from red Siberian rackets, juniper wood, and cinnamon. The result is much sweeter than the traditional version, and there are more juniper berries in the mix to provide the rich cinnamon flavor. Cassia Sinatra even uses this to give her an Irish twist. The sweet, smoky smell and the almost fruity flavor of the juniper berry are unique to only this brand of gin.
