Iron oxides and its alloys plays very important across manufacturing industries

Iron oxides is a compound of iron with or without oxygen. There are 16 known iron oxides and twenty-four known oxyhydrosides, the most recognized of which is red rust, a reddish, thick black stain. Across industries it is used to increase the hardness of steel by forming metal oxides with the required amount of oxygen in order to make it stronger.

Iron oxide and iron oxyhydroxide are a compound of two different alloys, whereas chrome oxide is a completely different compound, it consists of chromium instead of oxygen. It is formed by the reaction between an alloy and some oxidizer. Chrome oxide has been used to combat rust because of its oxidation properties, which protect against rusting and make it resistant to impurities. It is resistant to all normal cleaners too.

The use of the product is on the increase due to its wide range of applications. One of the primary uses is in the automotive industry. It is used on exhaust systems to reduce friction and enhance cooling. It can be used on cooling chambers, combustion chambers, radiator stacks, cylinders, and engine components to improve performance and efficiency. There are many other application areas where it is used but one of the more common is to enhance the aesthetic appearance of vehicles, which is also a benefit of the use of iron oxide.

It is used to make decorations for automobiles, boats, and even space shuttles. Another advantage of iron oxide is in the production of household products such as tiles and glass. Iron Oxide is used as a coloring agent in soda, juice, fruits, vegetables, and many other items. In the medical industry, it is used in the manufacture of artificial eyes, crowns, and teeth, linings in surgical scrubs, and in various forms of medicine.
